Week 4 Day 6
No training today. Body is sore from gym and tired from being out the whole night.
The pain I am experiencing is actually in the right leg. I could feel it twingeing while on the dancefloor last night. I am not sure what to make of it. It has never been seriously painful, but as the mileage increased, so did the pain - very gradually.
If the tendon is still tender in January I will have to write off the SA Ironman.
I will continue to swim and go to gym and try to improve week on week, and maybe gym will begin to have a positive effect.
The fact that I am working less during December means I am spending less time putting weight on the foot, over two hours less standing time. This should help the tissue mend quickler.
I must get into the habit of :
stretch, rub, deep heat and ice every night.
