Risk vs Reward

Here's another classic demotivator. It helps to have a sense of humor to go along with a sense of adenture when undertaking anything involving risk.

I got an email from my brother saying that the showdown between him and Alex turned out to be more of a massacre. My brother writes:

Got to the start [of the race] late and missed my group so I started with the other 3 in a slower group. Needless to say I did not see very much of Alex, and only saw him after the race and we went and had a chat over a burger.
Did a 2:45 for the 95km over rolling hills but was 7 minutes slower than last year whereas Alex was 9 minutes quicker. He finished in 2:29 which is very good I must say. Anyway I am fairly satisfied considering all my training was done indoors.

It was a bit of a risk going to Hongdae last night, since I felt I was holding on to my health by a thread, but I rested a lot this afternoon and feel pretty good now. Dancing until 5am didn't help my achilles but the evening was a lot of fun. I'll post the photo's as soon as I can.
