Three's Company

When we arrived at this bar, I found three ladies sitting at a table. So I sat down at a table right next to them and asked them if they would light my candle for me. When Valentin sat down he dumped his jacket on the table which poofed out the candle, so I had a perfect opportunity to lean over for another light, and introduce myself and my companions.

Herran, studying International law, Serran, studying Music, and Im-me studying Aeronautical Law (what is that?). We had a great time chatting with them.
About an hour later we were the only people left in the bar.

Herran told me she sometimes come to Ilsan, and cycles around Lake Park sometimes (where I often go running). She lives in Suwon, which is south of Seoul, so I wondered why she came all the way to Ilsan, which is north of Seoul. She told me she came to see her boyfriend who is a soldier. All three of them have boyfriends in the military.
Herran asked me, "How old are you? Are you married?"
I told her I am 32.
She said, "We are all 21 years old."
She spoke English pretty well. I asked her where she had learned, and she said, "At a hagwon (private language inistitute)."
It's interesting that the public schools don't seem to be successful at teaching them a second language. I wonder why that is...

Since Valentin and I have both been compared to celebrities, I asked them who they thought Jeff looked like. We came up with Nicholas Cage. I gave Herran my blog address and Valentin gave Im-me his website.
I polled some of my students the other day and every single one of them had their own website, mostly using the CYWORLD diary system. That's something to start in South Africa potentially. Posted by Hello
