Van Good?

I finished this picture earlier this evening. It actually looked better with just red and blue, and once I filled in more colors it seemed to feel too busy, and cluttered.

My brother is a professional artist, with a completely different, and so far, very successful style, to mine. Have a look at his website and paintings at www.caseyvdleek.com

The picture still fulfills the original purpose behind this tyle - which is to really engage the viewer, to get you staring at it and trying to figure out what the shape suggests. It's not something you look at for 5 seconds, say, "Got it, it's a tree and a house," and never really look at again. It is supposed to stimulate the imagination, and unravel differently each time you look at it. It is meant to be decorative but also something that actually engages the senses.

Hopefully it is the sort of thing that captures your attention if you were say, waiting to see a doctor or dentist, or standing outside an elevator. It is supposed to be light, yet engaging. Question is: Does it workPosted by Hello
