Smooth

Another sleep-deprived day! Just 5 hours sleep! Started the day pouring milk onto my All Bran that had the consistency of cream. A whiff of it told me not to touch it. I hate throwing out food - what a waste!

I only went to sleep at 4am - just couldn't sleep earlier. Hopefully tonight I will just shutdown earlier. I think I will give myself one or two hours to ease down. Read Mrs Dalloway or a Lonely Planet or something. My thoughts just kept racing and I had to say to my brain BE QUIET!

With it being so cold and being so sleep deprived, I am not going to swim today. It's possible I won't run either. I will go to gym and work on my legs. But it's important not to gym so that the next day I am too sore to do anything. That's what usually happens when I start going to gym after a period of not going.
I realise the cold weather is going to get a lot colder, and December is really the crucial month just to maintain a good basic level of fitness. I am right at the beginning with an injured foot, so I want to make sure it heals. I still have a big comfortable cushion of time.

My swimming is also fine for this early, and I have a whole week to do 3 sessions. I'd like to do a session tomorrow, Friday and Sunday. Possibly I will run hills tomorrow if my foot feels better.
Maybe I should cut down from 4 runs a week to 3, just until it gets stronger again. Hopefully going to the gym will help that process. And then I can start going twice a day when I am getting back again.

At school today we did a filtration experiment and although in most of the experiments the dirty water didn't change into clean water, there were two that were very good, and one that was perfect.
