Freeze
Today was sunny and glassy clear, but cold. Went cycling at 2:18pm, and the traffic was so hectic that it took me 25 minutes to do the first 10 kilometres. After that the traffic got a lot thinner, probably because the road was twisting along the Imjin River. The view of North Korea today was one of the best I have ever seen. The river was at low tide, and a rippling silvery snake moved through the shining mud flats towards the sea. You could really see a lot of detail in their propaganda City. Unusually, neither side was blaring their music or fluttering their flags at each other. I also saw the vapour trails of two jets cruising in opposite directions over North Korea. I have not seen that before.
I made a pit stop at 21km. This was because the water bottle I had with me still contained mostly frozen water. I bought a Powerade and an interesting gelatinous square - which I think is awesome food for cyclists. Must get the nutritional info and try to market it as such. Then I headed back.
The black Polar fleece and leggings I was wearing kept me warm, but I didn't really enjoy the cycle. It is probably my last cycle on the open road, in Korea, this year.
When I got home there was still quite a lot of ice in my water bottle.
I really had to rush to catch the subway into Seoul. I felt really tired going into Seoul.
