Week 14 Day 4
Physio: 1 hour 30
This should actually be included as it is getting quite intense now. I actually refer to the place now as The Torture Chamber. For obvious reasons and some not so obvious. Someone who works there is really stunning (long dark hair, slim, elfin, a dancer), but obviously has a million guys, like flies, swarming around her. I asked her, innocently enough to have a quiet bite (to eat, lunch!)with me and she said I had to 'respect her privacy'. Fair enough.
After my massage Petro did some dry needling on me, and then basically was running between two beds first rubbing my calf, and then massaging Francois' butt. Shah! He had his pants half down in the bed next to mine. My eyes stretched a bit at this. I guess he is lucky not to have strained his groin!
I return to the Torture Chamber again on Tuesday.
Swim: 2km
Total time 40 minutes
1x1km (with baggies) 15:18
5x100m 1:15 best
Easy stroking
Weight: 78.3kg
Arranged with Hannes at Cyclotech (right opposite Virgin Active) to build up a new set of bars. Will install them tomorrow and do a practise ride in the afternoon tomorrow before the Grey 150 Memorial Race. Should be good.
Would like to run tonight easily on the top of Naval Hill. Will need to leave here in about an hour to get there with enough light. Also want to run with my camera in the bag and try to photograph the giraffe. Quite amazing to think there are giraffe about 5-6km from where I sleep at night. Unthinkable doing that in Bamgashi. Giraffe on Jeongbal Hill? Ridiculous!
