I swam out here twice, both times on Boxing Day, once with a wetsuiot, once without. There is a rock called Barker Rock 1 mile out. The second time I swam to it I swam with no wetsuit, no cap, no breakfast, and half a brain. I made it back to the beach but couldn't actually walk up the beach. Lifeguards carried me off the beach and into a shower, where they rubbed my arms and chest and got the circulation going. I started shivering after about 10 minutes under a hot shower! Acute hypothermia, no surprise. One of the toughest experiences and I feel I survived it by the skin of my teeth. Posted by Hello
