Tuesday was an unlucky day. Firstly, I couldn't use the internet because two of us logged onto the same account simultaneously and the system chucked us both out(thus I am back at an internet cafe paying R60 for two hours on achingly slow connections...)Secondly, I had to skedaddle off the campus because there was a sudden cloudburst of rain. Thirdly...well, it wasn't my bad luck...but Taryn's mom dropped her credit card and it went off the table and fell through the slats in the wood panel below. I got on my hands and knees , used a knife to prod it to the side of the deck and managed to recover it. Fourthly, the delay in getting my bank stuff organised meant the exchange rate reversed direction, and since I drew about R12000 on a single day, lost about R2000. Put it this way - if I had drawn the money when I meant to, I would have had more to draw.
