Week 15 Day 1

My initial plan was to train today but I ended up feeling very tired, so I ended up having a REST DAY. It is probably just as well since last week I trained for 7 consecutive days.

Did manage to visit the bank and decide against banking with FNB, and swapped my handlebars at Cyclotech, and watched the Ironman DVD Mauritz lent to me at Justus' pad. Short, but quite interesting.

Watched Ladder 49 with Ane (Jen said it is too mainstream, not arty enough for her, and I need to be more discerning...) and actually enjoyed it and was quite touched by it, predictable as it was. Went for a light supper (salad and snails) at Dros with Jen. Interesting place. It can apparently seat 500. I'm not a Dros guy really, but I actually enjoyed it. It's so cool having so many nice restaurants and watering holes literally within 5 minutes of where I'm staying.
Got quite trashed on a single glass of heavy red wine.

There was a very big electric storm last night. The sky flashed and burned and the rain came down in sheets for hours. After Jen left I watched the end of Red Dragon, with the cat on my lap. Quite cozy with the storm crashing outside. Slept well until 5:40am when Jaques called for a run. Posted by Hello
