Sunday World is an interesting print publication. It feels a lot like a soapie, it's somewhat tongue in cheek and often makes reckless but amusing statements (recently those on Motlanthe getting someone pregnant). I find it interesting how an African publication has hijacked - and I mean that word in a good sense - elementsof the Afrikaans language in some of their reporting.
Example Sunday World often talks about people getting moered. It's a progressive sense-of-humor that's good to see, and it would be nice to see other publication being less holier than thou and adopting some of the wordisms of other languages. Think what fun we could have with !Xhoisan if we took the trouble to figure some of those out.
If you've read any books by famous Nigerian writers, there are some amazing African proverbs that espouse great wisdom. I'll find some and post here when I can.
