Week 12, Day 2

Cycled 1:57 (60.1km)
Average speed: 31.1km/h

Felt terrific on this cycle, the air felt fresh and clear and thin, and the road was smooth almost the whole way. Sailed by about 20 cyclists effortlessly, so am feeling quite strong.
Did a few hills but after Franschoek all the hills here feel like absolutely nothing. You just start getting tired and then you;re over them. The whole city just seems so small. I wonder, was I intimidated by this place when I lived here. Now it seems really puny. In many parts the roads are cracked and falling to pieces, but the Kimberley Highway is stunning.

Swim 2.5km
Time: 1hour.

Weight 79.8kg

Joined Virgin Active and had a good swim, mixing up the kicking, pulling, stroking and fly.
Trained almost 3 hours total today which is exactly what I needed to do.
Am feeling the altitude in the sense that my heart rate quickly climbs, but like it, as it will accelerate the speed at which I get fitter and can oxygenate my blood.

I'm supposed to cycle with Mauritz tomorrow and will refit my bike with different bars so I can do a 100km race celebrating Eunice's 130 years, on Sunday.
Should be good.
