FINANCE Minister Trevor Manuel hinted yesterday that he may be willing to carry on serving in his post if asked to by the country’s new president, although he could not “carry on forever”.
Manuel told members of SA’s Greek, Italian, Lebanese and Portuguese community that SA was weathering the global crisis “remarkably well”, partly because it was a commodity exporter. |

Manuel should stick to finances - he's a disaster when he moves into territory like ethics & the Dalai Lama.
