Ike has just now been upgraded to a Hurricane, the fifth of the season. Ike was hovering around 70mph for some time. Ike is now up to 80mph (130KM/HR...WITH HIGHER GUSTS), so a Cat 1 Hurricane.
Hurricane Ike is a feisty fella, with minimum pressure already down to 984mb, racing west-northwest at 18mph. That turbulence on the left are the entrails of Hanna. Ike and Hanna are likely to have a wrestling match unless Hanna suddenly moves. Hanna is moving slower than Ike, in the same direction, at 10mph.
At this point it is is looking very 50/50 whether Ike is going to bump Hanna up along the Florida coast and follow her, or get sucked downwards and jump into the Gulf, which could be catastrophic.
The good news is Ike is moving slightly northwards now. The bad news is that at least 3 models put Ike quite far south. See for yourself below.

The 5 day forecast almost renders the above pontification moot. Ike is projected to be Category 3 by 2pm Sunday. If Ike makes it into the Gulf we are going to see a tragedy that is unprecedented, mark my words.
