National Warning - Issued on Friday, 5 September 2008 at 04.00 | Warm, dry and windy conditions will cause very dangerous conditions for the development of runaway fires over the central and southern parts of Northwest province, north-eastern Free State, southern Gauteng, the southern highveld of Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and the extreme eastern part of Eastern Cape.
Gale force south-westerly winds are expected off the Eastern Cape south coast, spreading to Port St Johns area by afternoon. Very rough seas with wave heights in excess of 5m are expected between Cape Point and East London, spreading to Durban overnight. | | |
