Run 1:01
Distance: About 8km in soft beach sand.
This was an excellent run at about 6:30pm along the beach. The clouds were awesome, and turned pink after a while, making the beach sand glow with a sort of iridiscent pink.
CJ and I ran by quite a few fishermen, and ran across a small river flowing into the sea as well. When running away from Jeffrey's Bay we had the whole beach, miles and miles, to ourselves, with no sign of people or human habitation anywhere. I love exercising in pristine environments like this. It feels like some kind of pursuit of purity, or a purging process.
After the run I did feel my achilles, not as bad as I expected as the terrain was quite strenuous, but it is obviously still there.
Have only trained 3:30 this week and it's Friday. Need to train slower, and easier, and longer workouts. Will possibly do just that tomorrow on the Ironman course.
