Ducks, Mutts and Hilltop Swimming Pools
Aaargh. Just tried to do a spell check and the local internet swallowed up my whole post!
I went to Bikini Beach yesterday with Shelayne and Tracy. Sorry, no pictures of the leopard print bikini's on display. Had a smoked salmon salad brought after an absolute age by our waiter, who was sporting a purple and bloody eye. He told us he was trying to calm down an argument between his brother and another guy, and he thinks he brother belted him one.
Later went with Mandy to the pool at Helderberg College, perched on a beautiful hill overlooking Stellenosch and Somerset West. Quite a few boys and girls frollicking in the pool while I was trying to get through my 1.5km swim. Summer is all about fun in the sun.
Had a noodlely dinner with mince and POTENT homemade wine, while guinea fowl pecked at corn on the stoep and an Eqyptian goose and a grow chased each other and made an absolute racket along the thatch roof next door.
Watched Anger Management and had a long chat with Mandy's dad before going to draw money at ABSA. My balance since drawing the previous R1000 is even higher than before I drew the last R1000, due to currency changes. That's a good feeling.
This is me and Owen (also called Omo because of his prediliction for bright colorful shirts) on the hammock at Theewaters dam, near Villiersdorp.
I'm leaving Somerset West for Cape Town today.
