United Kingdom - Security Chief resigns after photos show him carrying secret papers

SHOOT: In South Africa you can have voice transcripts, links to mobsters, bribes, court judgements, protests etc. and people are still 'innocent' and 'vindicated'.
In the U||K all it takes is a photo and the suggestion of impropriety. As it should be. [A high standard of ethics and honor and good manners, in other words.]
Bob Quick, Assistant Commissioner of Specialist Operations, arrived at Downing Street holding the secret document in full view of photographers

Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick said today he "deeply regretted" jeopardising a major operation after resigning as Britain's most senior counter-terrorism officer.

He quit his top Scotland Yard post today after being pictured carrying secret documents into 10 Downing Street.

"I have today offered my resignation in the knowledge that my action could have compromised a major counter-terrorism operation.

"I deeply regret the disruption caused to colleagues undertaking the operation and remain grateful for the way in which they adapted quickly and professionally to a revised timescale."

She said: "Sir Paul Stephenson has informed me that Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick has offered his resignation following the publication of certain photographs yesterday.
