SHOOT: It's officially called 'Xenotransplantation', and a lot of it has happened in Mexico.
The Campaign for Responsible Transplantation (CRT), has been sounding the alarm about the dangers to society posed by xenotransplantation (animal-to-human organ and tissue transplantation) since its founding in 1998. Our organization has sought a ban on xenotransplantation in the U.S. in the interest of public health, to no avail. I would suggest that health authorities look to the unregulated and dangerous islet xenotransplantation work of Valdes-Gonzalez et al. on diabetic children in Mexican hospitals as they search for the cause of this latest pandemic. They will need to find all of Valdes's surviving patients, most of them children, and their contacts and quarantine them. The public can read about the responses of medical researchers concerned about his work here: http://www.eje-online.org/cgi/content/full/154/6/921 |
