SHOOT: These guys got a better angle, and were closer than I was.
Former President Nelson Mandela cast his vote at the Killarney Country Club in Johannesburg, near his Houghton mansion. Braving the nippy weather, with Joburg temperatures of around 12-14 degrees celsius, Madiba arrived just before midday accompanied by his grandchildren and Gauteng Premier Paul Mashatile.
With newspeople clamouring for a front-row seat, and ordinary citizens crowding around to try for a glimpse of him, Madiba dipped both his ballot papers - for the national and provincial elections - into the ballot box.
Although frail, Madiba looked strong and in good spirits while waving to the adoring admirers.
