DA Rightly Concerned over 24 polling stations 'running out' of ballot papers

Reports from our party agents on the ground in the Free State, Gauteng and Western Cape indicate that at least 24 polling stations have run out of ballot papers in those three provinces, and that numerous other stations have experienced shortages of VEC4 forms and barcode scanners (or zip-zips).

The majority of these voting stations are in areas where the DA enjoys a large amount of support, and as a consequence DA voters in these voting districts are being denied their right to vote.

The DA is interacting with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), in order to attempt to resolve the matter. However, the IEC has been slow in responding to the situation.

Right now the most pressing problem is those stations that have run out of voting material. The DA has received reports of the following stations running out of ballot papers:

Gauteng North:

Gauteng East:

Western Cape:
