Antidepressants: Do They Work?

http://english.ohmynews.com/articleview/article_view.asp?menu=c10400&no=331458&rel_no=1

NVDL: I've had a fair amount of support for this article. I based a lot of my thoughts on this topic on firsthand experience; but I did go to the trouble to back up my theory by consulting a 'real' psychotherapist. What was interesting to me is that there is a prescribed way that doctors behave (an average best practise) and then there is the cold, hard, dark truth which is often the better way to deal with ourselves and our problems. The harder path is tougher, but far more rewarding - you eventually break free to live again.
Re: 'Antidepressants: Do They Work?'
Hi,

I know this article was written a long while back, but I felt compelled to drop you a note about it. I stumbled across it today whilst researching depression. I have read countless articles regarding this illness, but I found this article to be one of the best I have come across. It really hit the nail on the head, and I am so glad I read it.I am sure it hit home for many other people too.

Many thanks,
