NVDL: I've had a fair amount of support for this article. I based a lot of my thoughts on this topic on firsthand experience; but I did go to the trouble to back up my theory by consulting a 'real' psychotherapist. What was interesting to me is that there is a prescribed way that doctors behave (an average best practise) and then there is the cold, hard, dark truth which is often the better way to deal with ourselves and our problems. The harder path is tougher, but far more rewarding - you eventually break free to live again.
