Just South Of The DMZ
This area borders the Imjin River, which is spitting distance from North Korea (well, almost). There is a lot of military apparatus here: road block barriers, fox holes, watchtowers, miles and miles of tumbling barbed wire, bunkers and soldiers on guard. Once I had to make way for a tank. It was so big it fitted onto a lane and a half of road, and made the ground shake.
We also cycled around the massive industrial complex of LG/Philipps, the world's largest producer of LCD flatscreens. This factory is probably the biggest of its kind, it stretches on for over a mile.
