Time of run: 17:15
Run: 35 min (1 lap)
Heart rate: 150bpm average (160max)
Pullups: 9
Weather: Hot (26 C), overcast, and very humid but the air is quite fresh otherwise after some rain.
It is a real sweatbox outside. Within a few minutes my head was awash with sweat, and a few minutes later my arms with covered in a layer of sweat. Actually, quite a nice feeling when you feel a slight breeze blowing under the shade of some trees.
Stopped to do pullups. Could only manage 9. Was very difficult to hold on to the bar with wet-with-sweat fingers.
I had a guy tailing me but he evidently couldn't pass me. I passed one or two other guys. There was another fella coming in the opposite direction that was hauling ass.
An old man cycled bye me and said "Bravo." Amen to that. Need to do any 3 runs this week. Felt fairly good on this run. Am heavy and wobbly, but the legs still have some strength in them. And hey, if I can do a half Ironman half marathon run on no running, anything else is a walk in the park.
On the way home msweat was pouring in my eyes, and no matter how much I tried to dig it out or wipe it with my running vest, it was just burning. Got into the shower and tried to turn on the cold water. When I opened my eyes I saw it was on cold. It's just so warm that the cold water feels luke warm.
Eyes in the mirror were bloodshot from the sweat, but feel okay now.
Feel good having done this run.
