SHOOT: Curiouser and curiouser by the day. Google News SWINE FLU SOUTH AFRICA and it seems South Africa's ADD media have moved on to the next big story. Not much coverage at all. I've heard a number of people saying 'It's no big deal' and 'It's paranoia.' As a result, swine flu has apparently sunk its teeth into every country in the world, but South Africans have managed to remain remarkably immune. Odd that, because my domestic worker described that she and all her neighbours suffered from chronic flu ["I was very very sick"] and said she also had stomach problems and were vomitting. No, the real news is the 2010 Soccer World Cup. What's a pandemic between friends?
