Felt very uncomfortable and tired in the water. The lanes were quite empty, probably because it was raining outside, and most people's primary instincts kick in when it rains, and so drop the idea of swimming.
I got out the pool a few times to go down the supertube. Quite a lot of fun. Also had one or two interesting conversations with some nice Korean people swimming in the lanes around me.
It was quite a mixed up work out. Started off with:
5 x 200m (on 4 minutes)
After a few 50m sets I got out the pool again, and when I got back in I set off on a 250m.
I thought I might do a 3:22/23 or maybe swim slightly slower than my previous best time. I swam a 3:16. My pullbuoy was just barely hanging on between my legs towards the end, and my right paddle rubber snapped on the 2nd last length, and I still beat my previous best by over 8 seconds. What a great feeling.
Total Time: 1:05
Distance: 2.25km
When I got out the pool I weighed myself: 82.85kg.
Still seem to be gaining weight, despite quite a lot of exercise. Am I eating hamburgers and pizza every day? NOOooooo. Not really sure what is happening, although my clothes are fitting more comfortable, and am beginning to see muscles pulling and throbbing beneath the blubber.
Had Korean pancake for dinner.
