The Zen of Shopping

Shop. Literally: To look for something with the intention of acquiring it.

My refrigerator has been begging me for the last few weeks to put something in it besides apples and strawberries. I caught a taxi after work with Mark and Corneli, and after a nice meal, went about the serious business of looking for things to acquire.

I managed to get by the DVD's on sale without buying any. Same goes for the PC Games. Actually found myself fingering the fabric of a lovely jersey (for W19 000) but there is no point in buying winter wear if you're 2.5 weeks away from a destination, in December, that is just below the Tropic of Capricorn.

I did pick the following for the blue basket:
Stickers
Underwear
Waste Disposal bags (20 litres x 10)
1 x New Zealand Avocado (and also the only avocado in the grovery section).
Strawberry yoghurts x 2
6 x cans of tuna
Kellogg's All Bran Flakes
Trail Mix Nut Bars
and then shared the costs for stuff we're taking to the Seoul Synergy dinner; pasta, wine and veggies, with Corneli.

Total: W45 000 (R248.00)

Caught a taxi back and felt really, really sleepy. I was going to run and do a bit of weights at the gym, but I feel really run down. Not just sleepy tired but my throat is a bit tender.
These meagre supplies will hopefully be sufficient for the rest of the fraction of winter I have left. My other meals I'll have at various restaurants, Korean and Western, and supplies, stuff like milk and bread I can buy often, and many times fresher, if I buy at the corner shops.
I now I have two yoghurts in the fridge, some tuna, and some nutty bars in addition to the bottle of water and apples. The yoghurts need to be there, but the other stuff doesn't really need to be. At least the refrigerator feels like it has a real purpose now, which I guess is the main thing.

SSssshhh....sssSSSSHHHHH. Softly: The real reason I turn the refrigerator on is to warm up my apartment. Ssssh.  Posted by Hello
