Does Huntley Have a Point?

Huntley made various attempts to stay in Canada, including trying to join the army and marrying a Canadian citizen. He played his final stay-in-Canada card by seeking refugee status.

Huntley’s version of victimhood also does not gel with his school friends.

Classmate Paul Yates-Round said: “Brandon is someone with domkrag (brute strength). People didn’t mess with him because he was so big and strong.”

SHOOT: It may not be politically correct to say this but I think there area lot of South Africans who would do anything to trade countries. Not because they are not patriotic, and not out of discrimination [as the article below contends] but simply out of fear of eventually becoming a victim of crime. Perhaps Huntley did lie; but it has been proved that farm attacks have been going on for a long time and are racially motivated. The point is simply this: crime in South Africa is unacceptable. And instead of making that the focus, we shake our fingers at this guy like he is the scum of the earth. What about serial killers and rapists that get 200 life terms but effectively, just one. And is our justice system one we can trust?
