SOWETAN: Chuene finds himself in a race issue similar to that of Cape Judge President John Hlophe as Africans and some of the coloureds, even those who do not necessarily agree with him, are forced to support him.
Chuene also reportedly enjoys support from other black sports administrators, who also want to avoid a situation where athletics revert back to the control of white administrators.
SHOOT: Errr...I'd say lying on national television and acting as Semenya's personal agent and declaring World War 3 on IAAF is more than a little inappropriate. It's not about right or wrong, it's about subjectively saying: We like this guy, he's our guy, and so if he makes a mistake we can forgive him [no matter the size of the mistake]. It comes down to personal bias, not ethics. I'm not saying it should, I'm saying that's what's happening.

why ..why.. why does it have to be about race? Why would a board member fear "handing athletics back to the whites?". Does this person want to tell South Africans that only one black person in the whole of South Africa is equipped with the skills to manage athletics in South Africa? I find this disgusting and a slap in the face of all black and coloured sports administrators! All we need is ONE person who is not a liar and whose sole objective is to improve athletics in South Africa!!
