Day 2 (60) Ex Music

Cycling (indoors): 1h10
Heart Rate: 147 average (163 max)
Kcal: 1255
Temperature (with aircon on 25/26C)

Seems like Fransa taped over my 2004 Hawaii Ironman tape. I remember her saying she was struggling to figure out the video machine (it's built into the TV).
No matter, I set up my computer to play Stage 1 (the prologue) of the Tour De France. I muted the sound and pulled open a folder I've called Ex Music, and played it on Winamp.
Some good tunes, like TNT For the Brain, Ibiza Summerhouse and so on.
I find indoor training quite intimidating, simply because I end up pushing myself so hard.

In no time at all my arms resembled glistening pythons (I turned all the lights off so I can concentrate on the job and on the audio visuals in front of me), and the blue towel under my bike began to absorb a steady trickle of sweat. That's gonna have to go in the wash first thing tomorrow morning.
You know, it's fun to try to match my cadence, even on the small chainring, to the very rapid cadence of the the Tour de France guys. Lance, of course, is the hardest of all.

Glad I managed to get this in. I also wrote two pieces today, one solicited by the editor of Heartland, a magazine in the Free State, where I was born and raised. And I got a useful email from James Kunstler with some advice on how to go about earning a living through writing. Will see if I can follow those instructions sooner, rather than later.

Swim tomorrow, and the next session of the bike I will try to stretch to 1:15, then 1:20 and so on.

School tomorrow...Can I hold it together there for a few more months?
