39/4 Dull

We've finished the books, so the games we're playing are getting a bit old, for me anyway.

I suggested last week that we order new books for this week. A week later, it seems like the director is starting to write down a few numbers, and make lists. I've already provided more than one list with all the numbers he needs.

He suggested we get easier books for some classes. Quite a difficult one, where you have 2-3 students in a class who are enthusiastic and engaged, and have actively participated. Then the rest who need discipline, obviously without discipline you can't get them to look at the book, so obviously if you ask them if it's too difficult they'll say yes. So do you get a lower level book that they're not even going to look at anyway?
It's anathema (is that the right term) to have a serious approach to anything here, like ordering new books. This is a goldfishbowl version of what I was talking about: trying to be rational within a framework of lunacy.

It's raining, and the forecast predicts more of the same until Monday. Today has been hot despite the rain, but it's supposed to get cooler towards the weekend.
I'm supposed to meet an artist that I used to teach with tonight. Erion's on holiday here until she flies back to San Francisco (where
's she's studying art) on Saturday. Feel too tired to make the effort. Will try to nap and will see how I feel afterwards.

Got my phone and internet bill.

Must clean and tidy my apartment and sleep now.
