Cristiano Ronaldo is worth more than 43 times his weight in gold

SHOOT: The most valuable commodity in terms of weight, on Earth, is a mixture of salt and water that is able to 'run' and kick a piece of round cow hide into a netted orifice known as a 'goal'. This bipedal carbon unit, who salts and other base metals are worth less than a bag of sugar - C12H22O11 - is known as Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo looks set to leave Manchester United for Real Madrid, after receiving a world record bid of 80 million pounds ($131,7 million) for the winger to transfer - that’s R1 billion!

After warding off the Spanish club’s interest in the Portuguese World Player of the Year this time last year, the English Premier League club said in a statement on Thursday that talks could begin over a possible transfer to the 9-times European champions.

“Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of 80 million pounds for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid,” the club said.

“At Cristiano’s request — who has again expressed his desire to leave — and after discussion with the player’s representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

“Matters are expected to be concluded by June 30.”
