Mission Prerogatives

Mission:

1) A special assignment given to a person or group: an agent on a secret mission.
2) A combat operation assigned to a person or military unit.
3) An aerospace operation intended to carry out specific program objectives: a mission to Mars.
4) An inner calling to pursue an activity or perform a service; a vocation.
5) A mission established abroad etc etc.

Here is the test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you're alive, it isn't.

Richard Bach

Prerogative:

1) An exclusive right or privilege held by a person or group, especially a hereditary or official right.
2) The exclusive right and power to command, decide, rule, or judge: the principal's prerogative to suspend a student.
3) A special quality that confers superiority.

Missions are not just out there in space. They're here, on Earth. Jerry MacGuire wrote a Mission Statement, and in it he decided to change how he was operating.
He said, "Fewer clients, less money, more personal attention."

I've done it before, writing a Personal Mission Statement.
It's a powerful tool to clarify who we are and what we are doing. It helps me, if I am lost, to find my way. It's a great way to bring effectiveness, and power, back into ordinary, everyday behaviour.

Mission Prerogatives: Inner calling towards special personal priorities or rights unique to that individual.

What's your Mission, and what are your Prerogatives?
