Happiness is Possible

Mark Darcy: [answers the phone] Hello?
Bridget Jones: It's me. Just wondered how you are.
Mark Darcy: I'm fine thanks. Everything alright with you?
Bridget Jones: Fine, though, er, I've just had a rather graphic shag flashback. You do have a genuinely gorgeous bottom.
Mark Darcy: Right, well, thank you. I'm actually with the Mexican Ambassador just at the moment and the Head of Amnesty International and the Under Secretary for Trade and Industry and you're on speakerphone.
Bridget Jones: Oh, right.

Corneli convinced me to join her and Karlee. I really didn't feel like it when the time came to go. I expected a chick flick, but it was a lot of fun, and was something of a rap on the knuckles for boys who might be accused of laddish (lit:describes the noisy, energetic and sometimes rude behaviour that some young men show in social groups) behaviour, or even overly civilised behaviour, and a laugh at girls with big bottoms, bald lawyers and pigs.

I was feeling blue when I went in, but I came out all yellow and dripping with flakes of popcorn. Bridget's jaunt in Thailand was a nice little trip down memory lane for me, and also a kind've conciliatory prize, to my mind, for giving up Phuket a few weeks ago. Thailand is not always all its cracked up to be. It's usually a lot better and a lot worse.
Daniel Cleaver: I spent the night with a gorgeous Thai girl who turned out to be a gorgeous Thai boy!

Bridget Jones: I truly believe that happiness is possible... even when you're thirty-three and have a bottom the size of two bowling balls.

I'll be 33 in 40 days. Now I just need to work on a bowling ball bottom. Does this work for guys too? I think I may be the only male Bridget Jones, if only because I too was once smitten by a lawyer, I too went to Thailand (and somehow *&%@ed it up), and I too am wearing pretty oversized underwear at the moment.

After the movie I chatted to Hye Young on the phone, who wanted us to join her and her friends in Hongdae, and we ran into Jinny (I thought she was in the States!) just as we said bye to Karlee.

Headed to gym just before 11pm after a nice hot chocolate at Corneli's place. It's really getting cold now.
