I remember exactly where I was when I played Pacman the first time. It was at a guy called Werner Aller's house. He's a guy I used to swim with. He also went to the Matric dance with Ingrid Karshagen. He called her a couple of minutes before I called her.
Moving right along: The basic underlying philosophy of Pacman is really, really deep. Eat as fast as you can, or get eaten. Consume, devour, grab as much as you can, and if you hesitate, you'll get chomped, you'll be consumed, you'll lose, it will be game over.
It's more than about just speed, it's strategy, it's knowing when to turn and go up another way.
