Swine Flu Round 2: 515 new cases confirmed in Europe

STOCKHOLM, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- A European health agency said
Tuesday that 515 new A/H1N1 flu cases were reported in European
countries within the last 24 hours.

Of the new cases, 377 were confirmed in Germany, 26 in Denmark,
25 respectively in Switzerland and Sweden, 12 respectively in
Portugal and Romania, 11 in Malta, ten in Slovakia, six in Poland,
five in Slovenia, three respectively in Hungary and Iceland, the
European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) said in
its daily situation report.

The total number of confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu virus in
the European Union (EU) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA)
countries rose to 27,892, with 1,538 cases in Spain and 11,912 in
Britain, 719 in France and 7,177 in Germany, the ECDC said.
