"Keep Moving Forward"

"Meet the Robinsons" is one of the first truely integrated collaborations between Walt Disney and Pixar. In fact, nowhere is Pixar even credited, probably because Walt Disney now owns Pixar. (John Lasseser is Executive Producer of this flick).

But Pixar's quality shines through in this imaginative flick. It feels a lot like you;re Alice falling down the rabbit hole, because the leaps of fancy are quite bewildering. I particularly enjoyed the addition of a T-Rex into a round, green, biscuit and bubbles future-world.

The underlying philosophy also comes off well. It's about a boy-inventor who tries to develop a memory machine (in order to remmber his mother, who gave him up for adoption). When the story covers full circle, and the boy has time travelled to within reach of his mother, the boy realises the futility of moving in the past.

Other nice touches were 'insta-buildings', bubble transport, and the villain (and his hat).

I found this movie enjoyable and appropriate, intelligent and funny.
