Going Down

No training today. I did go swimming since Allan, and Louise were in town. I only got the email saying they were in town when they were already in town. They'd come for Allan's mum's birthday.

We met briefly at the Stadium pool and did a bunch of dives and bomb drops and some underwater swimming. What fun - the only way to swim is in an outdoor pool, or a clear blue sea.

David was trying to impress us, but stopped short of a backward somersault, I did too after getting a bit eina off the lower board. I imagine I'll try to do it again at some point.
Was nice to see Allan and Louise and kids again, but a pity it was for only 20 minutes.

On my blog I see I swam a good, hard workout last year. A 3.5km swim. I wanted to go to gym but lacked transport. My brother is sick, Ilze was resting, Mica didn't want to go, and no other vehicles were available (the Jeep has been resting under a tarp). Since some people are sick maybe a rest day is called for. Nevertheless, next week is going to be very hard. Some long cycles and run are on the menu, and I'm going to be swimming harder too.

Been having disturbing dreams every time I sleep. The theme remains the same - confusion and distress. Hopefully I'll find my way up to a better view soon.  Posted by Picasa
