Circus School

Yesterday I gave two students an almighty grilling because I basically had to run around outside the classroom to get them into class, and when the one was in the other one would run off somewhere else. Not quite sure what the director was thinking or doing during all of this. Probably counting W100 coins.

Today I expected an improvement, but the one boy arrived 8 minutes late, proudly toting an icecream, which, all credit to him, he offered to me. The next boy waltzed in 22 minutes late (the class is 25 minutes long).

Think maybe I should take a paperpack into each class, stand up and read it aloud, for my own amusement. That way at least one person, me, will get some benefit from being here.

Children are quite funny when you don't force them to listen. You'll call them to the front so you can tell them to not do something, and on the way there they'll get distracted enough with mischief to forget that they were supposed to come to the front.
I need a long weekend. Fortunately, that's exactly what's in store for us this weekend. It's called Chuseok.
