These Island suites are even more OTT than our standard room, not that I'm complaining. The Villa Island has its own spa, which employs the services of an eyebrow guru, treatment rooms, wet areas, vitality steam rooms and saunas. For the ultimate though, the Marina Rise houses a presidential and Table Mountain suite, both spanning around 840m2, making it bigger than most people's houses. Discretion is key, with a private lift, a master bedroom, two bathrooms, an exercise room, private terrace, foyer, powder room, full kitchen, dining area, salon, study and a second bedroom … Expect to pay R50 000 a night for either suite. Other activities such as swimming with penguins at Boulders Beach, visits to the Two Oceans Aquarium, harbour tours and more are charged for.
