Air France Flight Path + Cloud Track

SHOOT: Well it looks like it was just about to emerge through a channel of churning clouds when it went down. Easy to say in hindsight but if it had followed the coastline due north and slightly west, there was a way clear. Of course, the captain would be clear on not wasting fuel and confident that his machine could withstand wisps of cloud and wind. Imagine what it is like for the pilots who are flying this route each day and night. Imagine the nerves over this section...knowing what happened on another flight.
