Jacob Zuma - charges reinstated, Nicholson rapped on knuckles

NVDL: So Zuma will still have to face corruption charges. Does this change anything? I fear not. Probably when Zuma is elected president later this year he will declare:

"I, Jacob Zuma, the president of South Africa, excuse and pardon Jacob Zuma (er...me). I also wish to have the following people (er...judges, lawyers, investigators and policemen) imprisoned..."

This means that Jacob Zuma, the front-runner for the Presidency in the upcoming elections, will still have to face corruption charges

Harms said Nicholson’s finding that he could not exclude the possibility of political meddling in the decision to re-charge Zuma was "incomprehensible", that he erred in his judgment and that his findings were "unwarranted".

"Political meddling was not an issue that had to be determined.

"Nevertheless a substantial part of his judgment dealt with this question.
