SA vs NZ: Boks Lose Yet Again and NZ now Ranked Number 1 (as it should be)

FULLTIME: NEW ZEALAND 19 SOUTH AFRICA 8

79: The Springboks haven't really been in the game in the second half. A very professional performance from the Kiwis and, judging on this, again look the team to beat in the Tri-Nations. Their forward pack was awesome, particularly in the second half, and South Africa must be contemplating a few changes for next week's showdown in Dunedin. Australia must be liking their chances of beating South Africa in Perth in two weeks on this performance, It's fulltime.

77: Wow!, The wind has picked up significantly. It's pretty cold out there now and I thibnk the Springboks will be happy when this one is over.

76: Another no try. The Kiwi forwards push over from the scrum but are held up. Take three, maybe

75: Carter charges the ball down and looks to have scored a try. The referee goes upstairs for a look and Habana does look to have saved the day for South Africa. No try but the Kiwis get the feed.

73: South African runners have been very isolated and the forwards have been slow to reach the breakdown. The Kiwis just awarded a penalty for holding the ball in the ruck and they are on the attack again.

70: It's all New Zealand now. Lots of scuffles and late tackles as tempers get frayed but it's the Kiwis who are well on top. Carter lines up another penalty attempt and kicks it. South Aftrica need to score another try, and soon, to stay in the game.

65: Plenty of handling errors now as fatigue, and cold, takes its toll. The rain has eased but its still very slippery. Massive drop goal attempt from South Africa just goes under the bar. It must have been from 50 yards plus. Unlucky.

61: South Africa pressing but they turn it over again and Ali Williams is the last man to clear. Percy Montgomery on for Jantjes.

59: There is plenty of intent from both sides in the second half, howver, the All Blacks look fairly implacable at the moment.

58: The flying Ma'a Nonu bursts down the field and sets up a great passage of play. Carter kicks for his wide men and Kaino seemingly scores a fair try. However the referee says he was offside and try is disallowed.

57: The All Blacks have reallty been on top of their game so far in the second half. They've rushed South Africa into mistakes and probably really should have put this game out of reach.

54: South Africa turn the ball over again in a promising position- Januarie was the culprit again. carter kicks deep and the chasers put Jantjes into touch.

50: The Springboks are under tremendous pressure early in the second half and if they are not careful, they could let the All Blacks away here. Ricky Januarie failed to find touch, or decent ground, and the Kiwis nearly capitalised.

48: Carter is really providing the attacking impetus with his kicking and general vision.

43: TRY: The All Blacks score through No.8 Jerome Kaino. They controlled the ball beautifully for an extended period and finally spread it wide where the big No.8 crashed over with three defenders on him. Carter is agreat kicker. Apart from that first miss he has been spot on.

42: Great early chance for the Springboks. The Kiwis knock-on near their own line but the chance goes and it's now the Kiwis on attack. They receive a free-kick and are deep on attack. The All Blacks hold

41: The rain eased off at half-time but is coming down steadily again.

From here.
