Springboks DOOOOOOOOOFFF England

So the Boks didn't completely thrash England, it was still a reasonably straightforward march. At one point one of the English players tasted tryline powder. He got his face smeared with it. Yes, that's another way to score points England, you might want to think about that.

One thing that I found really touching was the a French cameraman who caught Jake White immediately after the victory. He was holding one of his players, and then you saw him overcome with emotion. It was the sort of response where he realised, for himself, for all the hardf work, he deserved the win. This despite all the flack he had to deal with. I also felt like all the guys, especially John Smit, just looked like the champions they proved they were today.

It was good to see Mbeki present, and at least see an effort made to unify the country. Whether it's real or an act - or just a photo op - is, as far as I'm concerned less important than seeing South Africans coming together to celebrate. This country needs it!

And it's going to be good to see them - the boys in greena dn gold - in the streets of Jozi next week. The next tournament is in Smokefree New Zealand, in 2011. But for now still plenty of time to savour a well earned victory. BOKKKKKE!
