Deal Or No Deal

At gym last night I made this deal (after a 20 minute run): "If you weigh less than 85kg you don't have to swim."
I climbed on the scale, taking off everything, including my watch: 86.3kg
Then I went back to my locker, got dressed, walked by the pool and ordered dinner at Kauai. Then a very heavy rainstorm created a deafening roar against the wharehouse-style roof of the gym. Once the rain eased I went home. Not good!

In fairness, I'd skipped the most important meal of the day and was starting to feel HOLLOW by the end of the run. BTW, stats for the run:

Time: 20 minutes
KCal: 233

So I traded the swim on 10/01 to tonight. That's fine and dandy except I was also supposed to cycle this morning. It's been cold and rainy, but really, there are no excuses for being - well, stuck in a comfort zone. And I've already had to write off a few cycle races now because of lack of readiness/fitness. Time to get serious. Do you want to be mediocre or do you want to be good? Do you want to be good or do you want to be great? Decide that and then read this short Memo to Myself: deal or no deal. If you don't honor the deal, you lose.
