3 Domino Effect

Things were weird on the way to school today. For starters I was early. I wasn't carrying a bag. I packed no lunch. All I was carrying was my iPod, my camera and some money.
When I got to my school they were tearing up the road beside the building. The bakery where I always buy sandwiches and coffee decided to close the same day I didn't pack lunch. Guess I'll just drink water.

Upstairs I met a new teacher, a young man who was too shy to tell me his name. I'll call him Mo, until I know.
It's possible there will be one or two more fresh faces over the next few weeks. Er....ja.

Not much more to report since my working day has barely started. Will try to run almost every day and get in one or two more workouts than I did last week, and maybe cycle again with David, next time around the Han River.

Started watching The 40 Year Old Virgin. It's actually really funny. I was a virgin until I was 24 (Ssssshhhh - say it ain't so!) so I find it hilarious.

Based on the Domino Effect, I think it was a good thing I got a late start. But then, you never know.

Had a slight epiphany in that film and in Batman. In Batman Begins, at one point, Alfred (Bruce Wayne's Butler) comes into Wayne's bedroom where he is sleeping. Bruce objects, but Alfred insists on opening the curtains. He says a man has got to get his sleep, but 3pm is pushing it. He suggests that his employer find excuses to explain his antisocial behaviour, the bruises on his body, the insomnia and daytime sleeping. Dunno why, it all sounded like a funny parallel to my life, until recently.

I am fortunately in a great pattern where I can't stay awake beyond 10-11pm, and wake up between 7-8am. Going to try to keep it that way so I can train while the mornings are still warm. I've got a marathon to prepare for, and I have 3 weeks left for that. Time seems to be running out, but will make hay in the meantime.
