Jupiter Drawing Room best agency in the world

The 2010 Midas Awards, reportedly the only competition that recognises excellence in financial services communications on a global scale, has named The Jupiter Drawing Room (Johannesburg) as the best performing agency in the world. It achieved this status in 2003 and again in 2008. To date it is the only agency in the world to have won the Grand Midas trophy more than once.

Its campaign, "Creativity Takes Courage", for Absa's L'Ateleir Art Competition 2010 was awarded two Gold Ingots and three Silver Ingots. In addition, it received two Silver Ingots for "Design Fights" for Absa Design Indaba Sponsorship 2010.

Michael O'Rourke, president of The International Awards Group, said, "Considering the Midas festival is a global show, being crowned the world's best performing agency is an honour indeed, especially with cutting edge work that included an online arcade game.

The Midas jury is comprised of client and agency leaders from the creative and marketing disciplines, as well as internationally recognized experts in financial policy and communications. The jury panel, representing 16 countries, award Gold and Silver Midas Ingots to the highest scoring entries in each category.
