Jub Jub was most recently in the news for walking off the set of the TV reality series Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina after he claimed he had picked up a rash that caused an infection on his genitals.
Jub Jub said at the time that he feared the infection would get worse and that his penis might fall off as a result. He told reporters that he would rather quit the contest than become a “rotten cabbage”.
SHOOT: Seems like the rotten cabbage scenario was inevitable.
Jub Jub’s mother is none other than Mama Jackie Maarohanye, who is under investigation for her allegedly fraudulent administration of the Ithuteng Trust, which Jub Jub had also nominated as his favouritecharity in the Survivor stakes.
Mama Jackie set up the Ithuteng Trust School in 1997 with the help of former President Nelson Mandela.
The school was formed with the stated intention to help rape victims, drug addicts, rapists, juvenile offenders and victims of abuse.
In 2006 a Carte Blanche exposé disclosed that Mama Jackie had coerced many pupils into lying about their experiences, so that she could secure more funding.
Once dubbed “the Angel of Soweto”, Jackie Maarohanye wasallegedly also part of a group that held Sowetan reporter Vusi Ndlovu hostage and assaulted him.
