Best Car Songs For The Holidays

None of the songs in this article are on my iPod (I can link up the |Ipod to the car's stereo). I'll tell you what are the worst songs for driving - anything by Enya, or Sarah MacLachlan.

What is unusually nice though is listening to children's song - old songs - and singing along to them.

We don't know for sure but we'd bet Karl Benz had no sooner fired up his Motorwagen before someone was writing a ditty about it. Everyone cites Little Deuce Coupe, but for our money, this B-side to 1962's Surfin' Safari is the best of the Boys' many car songs because nothing says "bad ass" like a mid-60s Chevy with lousy brakes and an obscenely large engine putting out 425 horsepower. 1. Prince - Little Red Corvette. This song isn't really about a Corvette, it's - spoiler alert! - about a one-night stand. Prince wasn't the first to use a car as a metaphor for a woman and he won't be the last, but his catchy tune from the album 1999 will always rank among the best.
