I've killed someone - what now?

The fact that this guy dressed theatrically, was goaded by his mates, then went berserk, and then was like - okay so I guess there's no school for me... says it all. This is a symptom of the stress that lies beneath all our behaviours, and can at any time erupt. All you need is one bad day, and a break down in logic.

But just look at the victim. The guy is a pikkie. Was the matric guy trying to show he was a deadly assasin by killing an unarmed little boy?

The close friend, 17, who asked not to be named, said seconds before the boy went on his slashing and stabbing spree, a group of boys teased him.

“They said: ‘Come on, Ninja, what are you going to do? You won’t do it.’ That’s when he started going crazy,” the friend said.

The reportedly quiet pupil had allegedly appeared at the school assembly area wearing school uniform, a home-made mask resembling that of a members of heavy metal band Slipknot and black face paint.

He then stabbed Stefan Bouwer, 17, an acquaintance, in the back of the head. When gardeners Joseph Kodiseng and Simon Manamela tried to stop him, he sliced them in the face and back, respectively.

The boy then pushed the bloodied 60cm sword into the ground and quietly sat down on a low wall.

Teachers escorted the teen to the principal’s office, before police arrested him. He did not resist.
